I’ve suffered from plantar fasciitis for over 4 years. One doctor put me in a walking boot for 6 months. It helped, but then a couple years later both feet were affected. My mobility went downhill and I had surgery in September 2017. The surgeon didn’t care about me enough to continue treating me and I finally started physical therapy.
My physical therapist worked with me until my incisions healed and then the Astym therapist started working on me. I immediately started feeling better and was walking by the next week. Not a lot of walking but I no longer needed my wheel chair to get inside the facility. I received Astym 2x a week for approximately 10 weeks. I am so grateful for this therapy and the continued support of my therapists!
I recommended a friend of mine that had knee replacement surgery a couple weeks before my surgery. She was still having ROM issues and pain. She went to the Astym therapist that had worked on me and was amazed at how fast she gained ROM and less pain. I am a firm believer in this therapy and will recommend anybody I know to this therapy and the therapist who is trained to do this. Truly amazing!

I was seen for heel pain. The PT performed astym therapy on my heel and calf. After a few sessions was able to get back into walking without pain and getting back into running and to train for a marathon.

When I came to Diamond PT I had a lot of pain in the left Achilles tendon. The determination of tightness in the interior calf & thigh was the driving force behind the pain. The use of Astym therapy really helped the pain in my heel. I found that if felt best the day or two after Astym treatment & the therapy days without Astym treatment didn’t seem to provide as much relief or as long of relief. I can walk at a faster pace now than before, have less pain throughout the day.

I had tried supplements, reflexology, inserts in shoes just to name a few. I had gotten somewhat better with the combination of these things but my heel still hurt. I was referred by a friend who had done astym therapy with good results.
I had 8 treatments, I felt with each one my pain level was down and I could be on my feet longer during the day without thinking about my heel. I still feel some discomfort but if I do my stretches I am better.
I would recommend this treatment.

After suffering with localized pain and throbbing for over 3 months – I was finally able to get past the constant pain and night throbbing after just 4 Astym treatments to my heel/foot/ankle area. Prior to Astym therapy I tried gel pads and orthotic shoe inserts with no relief. As an active father – it was hard for me to limp along to my kids sports and activities. Now after 3 weeks and 4 Astym treatments – my pain is 90% better and my flexibility in my foot as returned near 100%. I am not ready to run a marathon quite yet – but with the new flexibility and pain relief I have gained so far – I can at least keep up with the kids!! I am confident that without the discovery of Astym treatments – I would have had to resort to a referral to a Podiatrist for more invasive options for pain relief as nothing I had tried was working.

My story begins with both heels so sore I could barely walk. Work was almost impossible. I was referred to a podiatrist who diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis in both feet, but the right foot was worse so I was told to wear a brace at night..given stretches to do and wear orthotics in my shoes at all times. Well 3 weeks later nothing had changed so I went back to the doctor he decided to do cortisone shots in both feet. It worked for the left foot, but not the right so two weeks later I went back..by now I am frustrated..work is so hard to do..it hurts with each step, so I am almost pleading with my doctor. He thinks the next step is Plantar Fascia Release (surgery) on the right foot is the next step..so 4 days later I have the surgery. It goes without any problems. I am set home to recover. 4 weeks later I have a check up and I am suppose to go back to work but I am still unable to walk normal..it still very sore. Doctor notices a large amount of scar tissue has built up..and the pain in my left foot is back so he thinks that Astym therapy would be beneficial. So I continue with Astym therapy for 8 weeks..twice a week..and wow is all I can say!…What a difference!..I can walk normal..the scar tissue is almost gone…and the pain in my left foot in gone! Thank you Astym therapy!
