17 Mar Astym Therapy Helped Me After Knee Surgery
I had surgery on my left knee in October 2015. I had to have physical therapy and then I was introduced to Astym therapy. The first time it helped with the swelling but it was painful. After a few days it did feel better.
During physical therapy, my progress with my mobility was developing slowly. I believe having Astym treatment helped my swelling go down, which improved my mobility.
Astym treatment helped my progress during my physical therapy treatments and I would recommend it to future patients.

A note from the Astym program: Clinical study has shown Astym therapy to be very helpful when used post-surgically. A large study was just published in the Journal of Knee Surgery, and it showed that patients suffering from persistent knee stiffness following surgery had significant improvement from Astym therapy.
