19 Sep Astym Therapy Finally Helped My Back Pain When Nothing Else Would Work!
I have had back pain for several years, ever since I was a teenager. A year ago, the pain became unbearable and limited my day to day activities severely. I could barely stand or sit and couldn’t sleep at night. I sought help and was quickly diagnosed with sacroiliitis. I went through several treatments including steroid packs, corticosteroid injections, prolotherapy, braces, and physical therapy, but nothing was working. My doctor then suggested I go through a second round of physical therapy with a different therapist. In my initial examination, further ailments were discovered: IT band inflammation, hip flexor inflammation and fibrosis throughout my legs and back. Apex Physical Therapy nominated me as a candidate for Astym therapy, which I graciously accepted. After 3 months of therapy, I am happy to say my pain is nearly gone and I am able to live life again. Previous ailments such as pelvic floor dysfunction have also disappeared. I feel so much stronger and happier. I am able to enjoy life again. Thank you Astym therapy!
