I was in a motor vehicle accident in October of 2013. I had my left femur shattered in over 30 pieces. I had surgical repair of the fracture. As a result I have a vertical scar running from the top of my left thigh to my left knee. The scar tissue was lumpy, tight, and sensitive to the touch. My therapist suggested we try Astym treatment to help the situation. After having had twelve sessions with the Astym therapy, I am very happy to report the scar is not lumpy anymore and my scar is not sensitive to the touch. I can now sleep on my left side again, thanks to Astym treatment.
